Multi-Sport Challenge (Sunday)
Multi-Sport Challenge Format
The Multi-Sport Challenge is a relay styled event.
If competing in a team of four, each team member completes one leg only.
If competing as a pair, each team member completes two legs only. Pairs are also welcome to divide the legs up however they wish, so if one member of the pair wishes to do three legs and the other member of the pair only does one leg, then this is fine!
Individuals will complete all four legs by themselves. Kudos to you, individual competitors!
Kayak - 1st leg
The kayak will be 10km . It will consist of 2-3 laps of a marked course around buoys in Prosser Bay, starting and finishing at the same point on the beach in front of the event village in Orford.
Potential kayak course - weather permitting.
Road Bike - 2nd leg
The road cycle will be 27.2km, with 420m elevation gain. It will consist of two laps along Rheban road from the event village to the end of the sealed section of road. It’s a rolling coastal course with a few fun hills, so we’d recommend using a road bike rather than a time trial bike. But the choice is yours!
Mountain Bike - 3rd leg
The mountain bike will be 15km with ~445 m elevation gain. It will consist of one lap on singletrack, 4WD tracks and fire trails, mostly on private property in the hills behind Orford, starting and finishing at the event village.
As the mountain bike is on private property, we won’t be releasing a course map. However, you can expect views similar to this on some sections of the course!

Trail Run - 4th Leg
The trail run will be 10km with 230m elevation gain. It will consist of one lap along the Orford foreshore trail to a marker on Spring Beach. Runners will return along the same route to the event village.
